Second January Event: Reflection on 1st Interview

Interviewing my mother gave me tremendous insight into both the general interviewing process and how I can improve when meeting with other trailblazing women. Seeing as I am much more comfortable with my mother, feeling no shame or embarrassment when I made mistakes during the process, I know this interview is not a completely accurate representation of what my next meetings will look like. Nevertheless, I am more confident in my interviewing abilities, and incorporating the advice of our guest speaker, such as asking if I had left any important questions or topics out of the interview, enhanced my ability to conduct the interview. On the first weekend of February, I am planning to interview another powerful woman in finance and banking, and I will be sending out emails and making connections with various other women to include more perspectives into my project.
