Year 2, November Post #1: Progress Update

Over the course of the past month, progress on my project has been relatively slow, given the constraints of the pandemic and the time-consuming nature of the college process. However, I have recently reconnected with the Head of Alumnae Relations at Emma, Ms. Clark, in order to begin building a line-up of guest speakers for my club FBLA. Conveniently, these speakers are meant to be women in business, whether dealing in real estate in upstate New York or working with multinational conglomerates. I plan to invite these speakers to interview with me as a part of my project in order to maintain the business aspect of my research this year. As for the political aspect, I plan to reach out to Senator Gillibrand very soon and research local politicians who may be able to contribute to my project during the year.
